The opportunity presented myself to create a piece for the Carriage House in Detroit. It is an event space that is for rent for catered parties, weddings, and other events. This piece is hung on the wall now in the dining area.

FEBRUARY 2025

Preperation for this show began in December. The show is a collaboration between each invited artist and Detroit based glass blower Ian Zapico. We were all to select one of his vessels he had for us to choose from and were given the opportunity to paint on them

I spent quite a while before committing to what I was going to do, observing and really getting a feel of what his pieces meant to me and possibly where his inspiration came from. In doing so, my pieces are based on Knots.
